/Hello there! I hope you’re all enjoying the start to your weekend. I know I am! Just thought I’d copy another blog trend with this little survey. It was quite fun to fill out. This weekend will hopefully be relaxing, but I have a lot of work to cram in too. We close on the house next Friday. Things are looking good with the loan so far…fingers crossed! We’re now finalizing kitchen selections and putting together a huge IKEA order. It’s getting crazy!
Without further ado…
A. Age: 27
B. Bed size: King, and I sleep in the middle.
C. Chore you dislike: I don’t mind the washing, drying + folding process of laundry but HATE putting it away. I like to use our spare bed as a closet.
D. Dogs: Dakota, boxer + Kenna, lab/great dane They are so ridiculous.
E. Essential start to your day: A huge breakfast! Always! But you all know this…
F. Favorite color: Currently….green! Bright green!
G. Gold or silver: silver…I don’t think I own any yellow gold.
H. Height: 5’4.25” Yes, I count the .25!!
I. Instruments you play(ed): Flute – 5-6yrs, Piccalo – 1 yr, Oboe – 1yr, Cello – 1yr I was indecisive, what can I say.
J. Job title: This makes me laugh…ummm, housewife/blogger/food photographer/graphic designer/used-to-be architect
K. Kids: I think our dogs are needier than children!
L. Live: Fort Collins, CO. I looooove it here!
M. Mom’s name: Pamela..although she was almost named Penelope!
N. Nicknames: Smashley, Smash, Sherm/Shermdog/Shermanator [due to my maiden name], Ashbeth, Beezer [came from the parents], Chubster [thanks, bro]
O. Overnight hospital stays: None myself, but stayed over for almost a week with the huz this summer. Those hospital recliners are not fun!
P. Pet peeves: drivers that don’t use turn signals, loud-open mouth food chewers, saying “these ones” and “those ones” You don’t need to say “ones!” just say, “these” and “those”, grocery carts with a bad wheel….oh, there are more ;)
Q. Quote from a movie: I’m not really a quote person…?? But one of my favorite things to quote is from a Family Guy episode when Stewie is talking about “Cool WHip” and he over-emphasizes the “WH.” I love Stewie. So corrupt.
R. Righty or lefty: Righty
S. Siblings: Josh [31] he’s single ladies ;)
T. Time you wake up: weekdays: 6:45am-8am, depends! Bed time is usually 12:30am..we are night owls. Weekends we stay up even later. I typically wake up after 7-8ish hours of sleep.
U. Underwear: Very particular about them.
V. Vegetables you dont’ like: BEETS…get them awaaaaaaaay! Also parsnips..the flavor is SO STRONG.
W. What makes you run late: Always trying to squeeze too many things in too little of a time frame.
X. X-rays you’ve had: Teeth, multiple times. I had a third set of teeth coming in people. Yup, I’m a shark! Luckily there were only 3 of them…they’re removed, don’t worry. Brain, MRI + CT Scan due to almost-everyday headaches for ~7yrs. They couldn’t find anything and luckily somehow the problem has gotten better. Wrist, fell in the snow, walking into high school. Sprain. Foot, thought I had a stress fracture, but didn’t. Abdomen, CT Scan, due to appendicitis…emergency appendectomy followed!
Y. Yummy food you make: breakfast.
Z. Zoo animal favorites: Not really into the zoo….Our dogs make me feel like I live in a zoo though. Kenna even eats poop. You can see our zoo below.
The 3rd dog [on the left] is Maggie. That’s Pat + Nat’s [BIL + SIL] dog. We’re watching her for a few days while they’re out of town. It started snowing last night and we woke up to a good 4” of snow.
Ridiculous, no? Dakota is making ferocious noises here.
Kenna loves eating snow. And loves eating snow covered poop. I’m not kidding.
I love that Dakota is totally in flight here, and Kenna only has one paw down. Crazy dogs.
Maggie, doin’ her own thing… = sliding a rubber bone across the WHOLE yard.
I hope you find the time to make and enjoy some homemade cereal this weekend..whether it’s in popped amaranth form…
or cinnamon toast crunch crackers.
Either way, you won’t be disappointed!
