do you mind…

If I tease you a little??  This girl’s gotta get to bed!  Full post tomorrow, late afternoon.

I think Stonyfield should hire Jake to help promote their baby-yogurt.  I mean, look at him!

Curious?  Okay, I’ll tell you!  ALL of those bananas [organic, fair-trade] cost $2.  I swear I almost jumped up + down in the store.  I’m letting them brown on the counter and then into the freezer they go, for smoothies + baking of course!  Oh, and the LB’s?  Well, they were on sale for $.89 at Natural Grocers.

Hello.  My name is Jake and I make cute faces all day long.  I also say “Hi Dirk” [my dog’s name] to any dog I see…I also do this all day long and everyone things it’s really cute.  On Monday I said “Hi doggie” twice, but now I’m being a stinker and won’t say it again.

Hippy toothpaste.  Review soon!  I’m trying to find a natural toothpaste that I like.  This is our 3rd or 4th different kind.

I will leave you with the nutritional info but make you wait for the recipe!

I didn’t think these would be as high calorie as they are for just 1 cookie.  I made quite a few modifications to the recipe for Super-Charge Me Cookies from Eat, Drink, and Be Vegan, and would make a few more next time.  I’m sure the original is fabulous, but I can’t help but make changes when baking.  Full details on these delicious cookies tomorrow!

Next version I want to beef up the protein + fiber but kept them a little on the simple side this time so they were kid friendly :)

Vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Stats:

  • Cals = 110
  • Fat = 5g
  • Sugars = 6.5g
  • Fiber = 2g
  • Protein = 2g

Not too shabby though and I was excited to see how low the sugar content was.  They were the perfect sweetness for me!

Aaaaaaaaaand I’m out!
