href="http://edibleperspective.com/2010/12/kitchen-dreaming/">honey grahams</a> + cherries on top.&#160;</p><p>Ummmm, delicious.</p><p><a

href="http://gourmetsoapmarket.com/ALL-NATURAL-HANDMADE-SHAMPOO-BAR-IN-SIMPLY-CITRUS-4oz-BSNAT.htm?categoryId=-1">shampoo soap</a>.&#160; I can’t wait to try them out!!&#160;</p><p><a

href="http://peasandthankyou.com/2010/11/09/having-a-ball/">sugar cookie dough balls</a>.&#160; I wanted to make them for my aunt + uncle to put out for part of Christmas dessert.&#160; Even though I won’t be there, I still wanted some of my goodies around for munching!!&#160; After tasting the raw + baked cookies, my uncle decided these are <strong>not</strong> going out for Christmas dessert.&#160; He doesn’t want to give any of them away!!&#160;</p><p><a

title="(27 of 29)" style="display: block; float: none; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto" height="353" alt="(27 of 29)" src="http://edibleperspective.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/27of29_thumb1.jpg" width="530" /></a></p><p>This was my first time making the dough balls, and I had no problems at all.&#160; I followed the recipe exactly, using Earth Balance and the correct flours and correct proportions.&#160; I used Trader Joe’s creamy, unsalted, organic peanut butter and gave it a good stir before adding to the mix.&#160; This was not a recipe that I wanted to tinker with, nor does it need tinkering.&#160; Both dough balls baked <strong>perfectly </strong>and were completely outstanding!!&#160; Everyone raved and of course had fun making jokes about balls. <img

color="#ff8000" size="3"><strong>Coconut Curry Mashed Sweet Potatoes</strong> <font
color="#000000" size="2">[serves 1]</font></font></p><ul><li>1 medium sweet potato [~3/4lb]</li><li>1t curry powder</li><li>~1/8t salt</li><li>ground black pepper</li><li>1/2-1T coconut oil [unrefined]</li><li>1/4c milk of choice</li></ul><ol><li>Pre-heat oven to 400*</li><li>Wash the sweet tater + prick with a fork multiple times.</li><li>Bake for 45min – 1hr, until soft throughout.</li><li>In a bowl, toss in potato + all ingredients.&#160; With an immersion blender, hand mixer, in a Vita Mix or food processor, process until creamy + smooth.&#160; Add more milk if needed.</li></ol><p>When I took the first spoonful, my eyes opened wide with excitement.&#160; A definite winner.</p><p><a

color="#008000" size="3"><strong>My Favorite Brussel Sprouts</strong></font> [serves 1]</p><ul><li>~10 sprouts, washed + halved</li><li>1T coconut oil [unrefined]</li><li>pinch of salt</li><li>splash of balsamic vinegar [optional]</li></ul><ol><li>Over medium-low heat, add coconut oil to a sauté pan.</li><li>Once hot, add sprouts, cut side down.</li><li>Let sit for ~8min, until nice + crispy.</li><li>Flip once and let brown for another ~8min.</li><li>Toss a few times and let cook for another minute.&#160;</li><li>Add splash of balsamic [~1/2T], for a little sweetness, if desired.</li></ol><p>I love how my stainless steel pots + pans brown things like this.&#160; They’re really not as hard to clean as you’d think, either!&#160;</p><p>But back to the sprouts….coconut oil + sprouts?&#160;</p><p>The coconut flavor mellowed out and ended up pairing extremely well with the sprouts.&#160; My favorite part are the little layers that fall off and get super crispy.&#160; Cooking the sprouts over med-low heat, allows them to reach a delicious soft, but slightly crunchy, texture.&#160; I’m not sure I will ever cook these any other way.</p><p><a

color="#ff8000" size="3"><strong>Curried Millet</strong></font></p><ul><li>1c uncooked millet</li><li>1T olive oil</li><li>3c water</li><li>1 heaping Tbsp. tomato paste</li><li>1 rounded tsp. curry powder</li><li>1t turmeric</li><li>1/2-3/4t garlic powder</li><li>pinch of coriander</li><li>~1/4t fine grain sea salt</li><li>cracked black pepper</li></ul><ol><li>Heat a pot over medium heat with the olive oil.</li><li>Rinse millet.</li><li>Add to pan with seasonings and let brown for ~3min.</li><li>Add tomato paste + water.&#160; Stir to combine.</li><li>Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer.</li><li>Simmer about 15-20min until liquid is absorbed.</li><li>Fluff with fork and let cook a little longer to make sure all liquid has absorbed.</li><li>Add more s+p to taste.</li></ol><p>…</p><p>I finished a new header!&#160; Go check out Erin’s new look over at <a

color="#008040" size="3"><strong>Lemony Garlic Green Beans</strong></font></p><ul><li>3 handfuls of green beans, washed and ends trimmed</li><li>1 lemon</li><li>1T olive oil</li><li>s+p</li><li>2-3 cloves garlic, minced</li></ul><ol><li>Saute garlic in the olive oil over medium for about 1min.</li><li>Add green beans.</li><li>Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon and slice the rest of the lemon and add to the pan.</li><li>Stir as needed and cook until desired doneness is reached.
