I’m writing on behalf of Rush – Naturally Enlightened here in Boulder, CO. My roommate is an avid reader of your blog and just thinks the world of your posts. She directed me to your site recently and informed me that you eat a lot of stuff similar to what we here at Rush produce on a daily basis.
We produce a line of Rush Bowls at our stores here in Boulder and we’ve also released a handful of them to Whole Foods Markets. They are all-natural blends of fruit topped with organic granola and honey that create a delicious super-meal that provides 2+ servings of fruit as well as powerful antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They are very low in calories and fat and contain nothing but the purest of ingredients. Our famous bowls are creating quite a stir right now, and I would love for you to try them out considering how you seem to really enjoy this sort of thing.
Please let me know if you are interested and where I can send some samples. I’m so glad my roommate showed me your site, I think it’s wonderful and am definitely addicted. Thanks Ashley, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Hi! I would love to review your granola bars for my site – and or trade links and guest posts – you have a great blog (love the photos)

Hey Lisa, my granola bar business is currently on hold since my husband and I moved to Colorado. Thanks for your interest though! Maybe we can do guest posts sometime..that would be fun!
I found your blog through Foodgawker a few days ago and have enjoyed it while waiting for my 10 month daughter to go back to sleep (i.e., in the middle of the night!). Husband and I are working on improving our diets, and we cut out fast food (small victory!), but I am stumped at how to take basic but effective steps to really get rid of the soy, trans fat, corn syrup and other processed foods. It’s all over the place! I would love to read more about *how* you have made the positive changes you describe and what you look for in a label.
Bobbie, Thank you so much for your amazing comment. I’m so so glad you found the blog and congrats on cutting out fast food!! That is a GREAT step to take!! I will definitely be making a bigger post on “how” I have made the changes you are talking about. You will see that once you have cut the fast food out for 1/2yr or so, you will never want to go back, and if you do, you will feel sick! It’s so weird how your body changes.
curious about your comment about removing soy from your diet – can you elaborate? i’ve heard lots of arguments both for and against soy, but mostly for – what made you decide to cut it out?
First I will start this by saying, that this is my opinion formulated on a lot of research I have done. I am not a medical professional or a licensed RD. On that note…I will go into more detail about this on another “tabbed page” in the future, but a few reasons are: it is insanely over processed + overgrown [in the states], you can find it in almost any bagged/boxed product you buy in multiple forms [just like corn], it’s causing huge rainforest deforestation problems, one of the top allergens that people have, hard to digest and can’t absorb all the nutrients it supposedly has, blocks absorption of nutrients from other foods, unhealthy for children because of the estrogen levels, can cause lowered sperm count in men [when eaten frequently], and has also been shown that it can cause hormonal problems in women. Again, this is all based on personal research I have done and I choose to keep it out of my diet as much as possible.
It was originally grown + eaten Asian countries because of how cheap + easily it could be cultivated. They also consume it with a lot of seaweed which counteracts many of the negative effects it has on the body. Also, you would be surprised to know that other countries consume MUCH less than Americans and do not eat it in its processed form. I have read it is much healthier in its fermented form, ie: tempeh, miso, and natto. Asian countries also do not use soy as a protein [meat] replacement, like many Americans do.
A lot of people think that you can find this type of information about any food, and that is somewhat true, but not quite to this controversial extent. That is just what has come to be with all of the industrialization and over-farming of cheap filler products [like corn + soy].
There are many more and I know there are a lot of “SOY is the wonderfood” type website. This is just the opinion I have formulated after all of my research Thanks for your comment, I hope this has helped!
Hey Ashley, was reading your post about a year round farmers market in Boulder, cant seem to find info online about it, can you pretty please tell me where it is?

A few sites I have found to be helpful on this topic:
Soy Alert
A few good Q+A questions
