You have some major guns, there, Ashley. Besides swimming and climbing (and yoga?), do you do any strength routine? I was on the pushup wagon all summer, totally fell off this last month. Went from being able to do 80 to squeeeeeeeeeaaaking by with 30, and a lot of complaining/pain. I know that’s still good — but I need to work on my upper-body strength. Also, I really enjoyed all these photos!

Haha, I do some yoga. I did more when we lived in Charlotte and had a little more money. I don’t do any continuous strength training but from a young age have always been really active with my arms. I did Karate once a week for 4 years and we had to do a ton of pushups. I really think it is partially genetic. I played volleyball [and was the setter] for 5 years as well. Lots of arm + shoulder movement. I worked out + lifted a LOT in high school and a LOT in undergrad college too. So, I guess I’ve always sort of maintained my arms. Maybe I’ll do a post on my go-to arm workout. If I don’t have time for that, I at least squeeze in 3 sets of 10-15 pushups, every other day. My body gains muscle pretty easily and my upper body has just sort of always been toned. My legs on the other hand, gain muscle but do not have a chiseled toned look. Weird!

I was looking at the pic of you and a guy at a table… The pic below was cut off and I could just see what appeared to be a plate with some kind of crazy on it! I got wide eyed and thought what the heck is she eating! Turned out to be Dakota on her bed
